Cockroaches; A Pest Becoming More Common in the UK

Cockroaches are becoming a more common pest in the homes of the Midlands; Intelligent Pest Control are seeing a considerable increase in calls to homes and businesses that have Cockroach infestations. Fortunately we can treat the problem and eradicate the pest quickly and effectively.

Matthew Pitcher, Director at Intelligent Pest Control gave some advice on how to take action to reduce the problem. He said:

“Cockroaches feed on human and pet food, so keep all food stored away in sealed containers and cans with a tight lid. It is recommended to frequently clean in the kitchen and vacuum on a regular basis. If you have any water leaks such as dripping taps, these should be repaired and it is helpful to seal off any entry points, such as holes around floorboards, in between kitchen cabinets, pipes, doors, and windows.”
